"After my parent's split, my doctor and therapists put me on a high dose of antidepressants. I still had frequent "bad days" where I thought things would never get better. Dr. Shaw explained how adjusting my spine helps my central nervous system which controls the mind, body, and spirit. I'm not afraid of being on my own any more."

She owns a Mollucan cockatoo, named Dr. Peaches who helps her manage her social calendar, and two horses that she trains and takes camping with her in Yosemite. She loves classic cars and antiques, and appreciates history and old-fashioned values. She has an avid interest in marine life and maintains a 120-gallon saltwater aquarium in the reception area of her practice for her patients to enjoy.
